Brazen is a restaurant nestled in the historic Mount Royal Hotel in Banff National Park, and gets it's name from the pioneering mountaineers who helped establish the town. The visual identity tips it's hat to the ornate detailing of the hotel, while the bold colours and typography help the brand stand out in modern applications.
The seemingly never-ending combinations of colours and patterns represent the trailblazing mindset of explorers like Elizabeth Rummel and Jim Peyto (who famously brought a live Lynx into a bar), and offset the traditional stylings of the restaurant's interior. From a practical standpoint: the patterns are built on a grid to create textures that can scale easily, and the colours were intentionally contrast tested to develop an extensive library of colour pairings.
This brand is bold, it's bright, it's Brazen.
