
Flathead Rivers Alliance is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the extensive Flathead Rivers System — a series of rivers that flow from British Columbia to Montana, and connect some of the largest lakes in North America. Pursuit donated their marketing and design resources to the Flathead River Alliance to build a brand that supports the preservation efforts of the volunteers, while raising awareness of the efforts required to protect such a large and diverse watershed ecosystem.
We developed an identity that represents Flathead Rivers Alliance three pillars of Education, Stewardship, and Community and mirrors the three forks of the river system; North, South and Middle. The Visual Identity works well with practical use merchandise such as pins, mugs, and notebooks, which are a lower cost to produce and easier to sell to tourists. The apparel also signals who is the guides or volunteers are on the water, because you can never be too safe on a river. The identity is meant to be easily recognizable from a distance, and versatile enough that it can scale to almost any application.
